Where It All Began

This 1955 Ford F100 project rolled into the shop as a rolling rusty shell — a classic with big potential and an even bigger vision. From day one, this wasn’t just a restoration. The plan was to completely reimagine the F100 from the ground up as a high-end custom showpiece.

The journey started with a laser-cut chassis build, including a fully custom K-frame and rear section — all precision-welded and fabricated in-house. What followed was months of sheet metal work, rust repairs, and detailed fabrication to bring the cab and panels back to life.

Fabrication and Body Mods

The body was rebuilt using a mix of new and fabricated components. Custom guards and widened fenders gave the truck a tougher, more modern stance, while the rear tray was hand-built and completely reshaped with flush lines, integrated exhaust cut-outs, and a smoothed finish ready for show.

By this stage, the truck was already looking the part in raw steel — but the detail didn’t stop there.

Chassis, Paint and Polished Hardware

The freshly-built chassis was prepped and painted in Satin Metallic Grey, a finish that set the tone for the rest of the build. The twin polished stainless exhaust system was custom-made and tucked tight under the tray — one of many touches that pushed this build into elite territory.

As the project moved into assembly, every bolt, bracket and line was either custom-made or hand-selected for both strength and visual impact. Even the hardware was built specifically for this truck.

Cab, Paint and Interior

The F100 cab underwent major rust repairs and fabrication before finally heading into primer and paint prep. From there, it was coated in a deep, dark gloss finish that transformed the old cab into something truly next level.

Inside, a full custom leather interior was crafted — with matching door trims, dash, and seat design. The black-on-black theme tied in perfectly with the exterior, giving the F100 a clean, modern yet timeless finish.

Engine Bay and Driveline

With the chassis complete, the motor and gearbox were painted and mounted, with every surface polished to a show finish. The front end was then pieced together — brakes, suspension, and pulleys — all fitted with purpose and pride.

At this point, it was clear the team had gone above and beyond to bring a premium level of detail to every inch of this truck. This wasn’t just about building a tough F100 — it was about building one of the best in the country.

Show Debut – Melbourne MotorEx 2024

After 12 months of full-time effort, the build made its debut at the 2024 Meguiar’s MotorEx in Melbourne — where it took home:
🏅 Best Car Display of Show
🏅 3rd Place for Best Interior

The reaction from the public and event judges was exactly what the team had hoped for — a true recognition of the time, effort, and obsession poured into every stage.

Topping It Off – Harrigan’s Rod & Custom Show

Later in 2024, our F100 also claimed the Top Pickup/Ute award at the Harrigan’s Rod & Custom Show, proving it wasn’t just a one-hit wonder — this build had staying power and presence.
